Carbon-Loaded

For plants, life is all about getting more carbon. Our products are engineered with the understanding that carbon is the most important macronutrient for plants.

End to End

Our line is formulated and manufactured from scratch to fulfill all of the nutritional needs of plants from start to finish. You don't have to add anything else.

100% Bioavailable

We make unique complexes that fit perfectly into plant metabolic pathways, resulting in products with low salt indexes that require no pH adjustments, ever.

Plant Extracts

We work with both sea and land plants, and are at the forefront of learning how their extracts influence everything from soil chemistry to plant metabolism.

This spray began as whole plants.

We ferment eighteen whole plants, from aronia and green tea to agave and cacao, in Arlington, Washington. Fermentation turns the plants into organic acids, amino acids and sugars that carry the minerals in all ten of our fertilizers. Follow one droplet.

In this droplet, the minerals ride on carbon.

Most fertilizers deliver minerals as salts, bonded to chloride, sulfate or nitrate. Rooted Leaf bonds its minerals to organic acids and amino acids from fermented plants, carbon carriers that a plant can take in and use.

The droplet stays wet and keeps soaking in.

A waxy cuticle seals every leaf, and minerals can cross it only while they are dissolved. Many mineral salts dry to a crust on the leaf and stop moving. Organic-acid carriers hold on to water, so the minerals they carry stay liquid and keep crossing into the leaf.

Organic acids carry five times more potassium into the leaf.

In a lab test of 31 potassium sources on leaves, the forms carried by organic acids stayed moist and crossed best. Potassium chloride, the most common potash fertilizer, dried to a crust.

The plant builds with the carbon that carried the minerals.

Chloroplasts turn organic acids into fatty acids, the raw material of every cell membrane. Carbon that delivers a mineral and then builds the plant is what we call functional carbon.

Grower voices

What growers see

“The biggest benifit i see is consistency pick your feed strength and grow healthy plants. Primer a&b is bulletproof, solar rain is also top notch. I started growing synthetic went full organic now I will only use rooted leaf”

@the_autofatherInstagram

“Rooted leafs products have helped by allowing me to push my grow hard without the supplemental CO2. I get nearly identical results because of the carbon in the products and that saves me about 100$ in CO2/week. Also any questions I have ever had regarding their products they have answered quickly.”

@billturesInstagram

“I just finished first harvest with this line and definitely like the results! Did not adjust ph one time when using reverse osmosis water source. Carbon based/ Rooted leaf ftw!”

@just_a_faze__Instagram

“I got my biggest and stinkiest harvest with Rooted Leaf. That solar rain works wonder. You see them perk right up. Beautiful product, brilliant team! Cheers!”

@automatus.floresInstagram

“Running the entire line and my plants have been greener, healthier, and have produced the most beautiful frosty flowers! Products are a game changer! I do need to try the new bio sil and micro flow. I already know they will be great as well.”
